On April 8, 2024, there will be a total solar eclipse across the United States of America, from Texas to Maine. It’s the second total solar eclipse that went across the United States in the last hundred years, following the Great America Eclipse that went from coast to coast on August 21, 2017. It’s also the third major solar eclipse in the last seven years following the annular solar eclipse on October 14, 2023.
As stated in the Bible, the total solar eclipse is often a sign for some major events
or major disasters to happen. There are many prophecies about the “Second Coming” of Jesus Christ and the coming of the judgment of God with the
signs of the sun turning black during the total solar eclipse and the moon turning red.
“The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and awesome day of the Lord
comes." (Joel 2:31 & Act 2:20)
What’s interesting about this total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 is this total solar eclipse will pass seven cities/towns named Nineveh in the United States with 90%+ totality of eclipse and two of them right on the path of total eclipse. The Eclipse2024.org website lists municipalities that will experience the total solar eclipse and includes seven places across the U.S. named “Nineveh.”
Some so-called “Fact-check” websites
try to discredit the prophetic significance in this special celestial
phenomenon by claiming there are only two cities on the path of total eclipse, but they ignore the fact that 90% of totality in the solar eclipse will also darken the sun as stated in the Bible’s prophecies. With all these seven cities/towns named Nineveh are on the path of total solar eclipse with at least 90% totality, it does carry a significant prophetic meaning according to the Bible.
This total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 also passes a town named Jonah in Texas with 95% totality. Since Jonah and Nineveh played a big role in the Bible’s prophecies, let’s take a look at the prophecy and miracle of Jonah
and Nineveh in the Bible first.
1. The
Prophecy and Miracle of Jonah and Nineveh in the Bible.
In the Book of Jonah in the
Old Testament of the Bible, Jonah was a reluctant prophet who was sent to the
great city of Nineveh to give a warning to the people there on the coming judgment of God. Initially he dared not to go to the city of Nineveh in fear that
the people of Nineveh would kill him. So he ran away from the Lord and took a ship to another city Tarshish
in the opposite direction to flee from the Lord.
Then God sent a great wind on the sea and a violent storm almost broke up the ship. All the sailors were frightened and wanted to know who was responsible for the wrath of God. Jonah told them it was his fault because he did not obey God’s command. He told them to throw him into the sea and the sea would become calm. As the sea grew even wilder, they threw Jonah into the sea and the raging sea grew calm. God sent a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was inside the fish three days and three nights.
After Jonah prayed and repent inside the great fish for three days, God commanded the fish to vomit Jonah onto the dry land. Then Jonah obeyed God’s command and went to Nineveh to give warning to the people in Nineveh that the judgment of God would destroy the city in forty days.
After hearing this warning, the people of Nineveh all repented from their sins and declared a fast and put on sackcloth. The king of Nineveh also issued a proclamation to all the people in Nineveh to give up their evil ways and their violence, and fast and pray for God’s compassion to spare them from the judgment of God.
When God saw what they did and how they turned away from their evil ways,
God had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction He had threatened. Jonah even became angry about God’s compassion on the people in Nineveh, but God used a vine to teach Jonah about His compassion for the people in the city of Nineveh.
In this Book of Jonah, there were actually two miracles that happened to Jonah and Nineveh. First, when Jonah disobeyed the command of God, God sent a great wind and storm on the sea to prevent Jonah from escaping to another city. After Jonah was thrown into the sea, God sent a great fish to swallow him and sent him onto dry land after he prayed and repent for three days inside the stomach of a great fish.
The second miracle was that all people of Nineveh, including the king and nobles in Nineveh, declared a fast, repented and prayed to God after they heard the warning of Jonah. Then God changed His prophecy and spared the city of Nineveh from the judgment and destruction He initially planned.
Besides the warning of Jonah, there was actually another significant factor that made all people in Nineveh turn their heart to God and repent of their sins. According to astronomical calculation and historical record, a total solar eclipse occurred on June 15, 763 BCE in Nineveh, which was before or during the time Jonah was preaching in the city of Nineveh.
According to the Bible 2 Kings 14:25, Jonah lived during the reign of King Jeroboam II (786-746 BCE) in Israel. During that time, the ancient Assyrian Empire was facing both
the internal upheaval caused by famine and plagues that impoverished the country and
the external battles with foreign enemies at its border. When the total solar eclipse happened in 763 BCE, many people in Assyria believed it was a sign that the king would be deposed and killed and the city of Nineveh would be destroyed.
When a foreign prophet Jonah came to the city to give a warning that the city would be destroyed in forty days, it matched their own belief about the total solar eclipse. Therefore all the people in Nineveh including the King and nobles began to fast, repent of their sins and pray for God’s compassion. Then God reversed His judgment and spared the city from the destruction He initially threatened through Jonah. That’s how the second miracle occurred in Nineveh after the total solar eclipse in 763 BCE and the warning from Prophet Jonah.
In the Gospel of Matthew, when some Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus for a miraculous sign, Jesus answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given to them except the sign of the prophet Jonah. Just as Jonah spent three days and three nights in the stomach of a great fish, the Son of Man would be in the heart of the earth.” (Matthew 12:38-40)
Here, Jesus referred to the first
miraculous sign of Jonah about His resurrection three days after His crucifixion and being buried in the tomb. But the second miracle of Jonah did not occur as the people in Jerusalem did not
repent but crucified Jesus Christ instead. Eventually, the city of Jerusalem was destroyed again in 70 AD.
Now, the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 also carries the same prophetic warning of Jonah to the city of Nineveh, especially when it passes through seven cities and towns named Nineveh and another town named Jonah. When it combines with the Great Solar Eclipse on August 21, 2017, it carries more significant prophetic meaning for the New Millennium.
2. The
Prophetic Meaning of the Great American Eclipses on August 21, 2017 and
April 8, 2024
On August 21, 2017, there was a total solar eclipse across the United States from the
Pacific coast to the Atlantic coast. It's the first coast-to-coast total solar eclipse in 99 years since the last coast-to-coast total solar eclipse across the United States of America in 1918. Therefore, this coast-to-coast total solar eclipse on August 21, 2017 is called the Great American Eclipse.
One interesting thing about this Great American Eclipse on August 21, 2017 is that it passed through seven cities named "Salem", which was the ancient name of the Jerusalem area in the time of Abraham around 2000 BC when Melchizedek was the king of Salem. By 1070 BC, King David established the Kingdom of Israel in this area and set this city as the capital of the kingdom, which was known as Jerusalem. The word "Salem" means "Peace".
When this Great American Eclipse on August 21, 2017 is combined with the total solar eclipse of April 8, 2024, it forms a great Cross or “X” across the United States of America. In Greek, the word for “Christ” is “Χριστός”. In the early time of Christian history, people used the combination of “Χρ(Chi-Rho)” as the symbol of Christ, and the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great even saw the sign of “Χρ(Chi-Rho)” in the sky before his battle with his enemy in AD 312. In the next morning, he ordered all his soldiers to put the divine symbol of “Χρ(Chi-Rho)” on their shields and he won the Battle of the Milvian Bridge decisively to become the sole emperor of the Roman Empire. Eventually, the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great and his successors elevated Christianity into the state religion of the Roman Empire.
Over time, the Greek Alphabet “X(Chi)” became an abbreviation for Christ, and Christmas became Xmas. Coincidentally, or divine-designed purposely, the Peace Messiah of the “Second Coming” for the New Millennium also has “X” as the initial of his first name.
When the Great American Eclipse on August 21, 2017 and the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 formed the great sign of “X” in the sky, it indicated the Salvation of Christ/Messiah is upon this nation. The year 2017 was the year of the Jubilee in Israel and also the year 5777 in the Hebrew calendar, in which 777 represents the “Threefold Perfection”. Many people also speculated that the Messiah of the “Second Coming” would come in that year of the Jubilee in 2017.
In fact, the Peace Messiah of the “Second Coming” did come out in the year 2017 to give a public lecture in the year of Jubilee. Unfortunately, at that time not many people paid attention to this event. Now, it’s clear that in 2017 the Great American Eclipse was only the first leg of the sign “X”. Only after the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 occurred, the sign of Christ “X” was completed over the whole continent of the United States of America, which is the sign of the “Second Coming” of Messiah coming to the United States of America.
The combination of Seven “Salem” in the Great American Eclipse on August 21, 2017 and
Seven “Nineveh” and one “Jonah” in the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024 indicated that the
Peace Messiah of the “Second Coming” would bring "Peace"
and the warning of God to the people just like Jonah brought the warning
of God to Nineveh and saved the city from destruction after people
repented and turned their hearts to God.

The Prophetic Meaning of the Three Great American Solar Eclipses in
Seven Years
Between the Great American Eclipse in 2017 and the total solar eclipse in 2024, there was another annular solar eclipse on October 14, 2023. Along with the two total solar eclipses in 2017 and 2024, the paths of these three solar eclipses formed the first alphabet in the Paleo-Hebrew alphabet:
"Aleph", which means “Leader and Strength”. And the combination of the paths of the Great American Eclipse in 2017 and the total solar eclipse in 2024 form the last alphabet of the Paleo-Hebrew alphabet:
"Tav", which means “Sign and Covenant”.
In the
Book of Revelation, Christ told John, "Behold, I am coming soon!
My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he
has done. I am the alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the
Beginning and the End." (Revelation 22:13). These two signs
of Aleph and Tav are the First and Last of the Paleo-Hebrew alphabet,
which represent the Christ/Messiah as "the Beginning and the
End".
These two signs
of Aleph and Tav appeared in the
sky across the United States of America not only fulfilled the prophecy
of the "Second Coming" of Messiah for the New Millennium but
also indicated the Messiah of the "Second Coming" would come
out in the United States of America soon, just like the Star of Bethlehem indicated the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.
Together, “Aleph Tav”
also means the “Herald of Messiah” and the “Strength of the Covenant”, which indicates the Messiah will come with the New Covenant of God. Just like Jesus Christ came with the New Testament of God in His “First Coming”, the Peace Messiah of the “Second Coming” will also bring the New Millennium Testament to the world for the New Millennium of Peace & Wisdom, which is the “Eternal Gospel for every nation, tribe, language and people” as prophesied in the Bible’s Book of Revelation 14:6.
Two
thousand years ago, Jesus Christ completed the first miracle of Jonah by resurrection after
the crucifixion and three days "in the heart of the earth".
Now, the Peace Messiah of the “Second Coming”
will complete the second miracle of Jonah for people to turn their hearts to God and reverse the catastrophic disasters prophesied for the “End Time”.

The Warning of Peace Messiah for Americans and New York City
In the last several decades, people in the world gradually lost their faith in God. For God is the creator and ultimate ruler of this universe, when people lost their faith in God, they would also lose the blessing and protection of God in this world. That’s the main reason behind all the natural disasters and plagues all over the world in these years. With the potential World War III looming around the corner, the catastrophic nuclear war could totally annihilate the human civilization and turn the beautiful earth in to a barren land like the Moon and Mars.
As the New Revelation of the Eternal Gospel for the New Millennium is too long to reveal in this article, here Peace Messiah just wants to give the specific warning message about these Great American Solar Eclipses to American people, especially the warning for New York City.
Most American people may not know that long before the birth of this nation in 1776, God already made the prophecy of this great nation in the Bible’s Book of Revelation almost two thousand years ago. In the prophecies in the Book of Revelation, this nation of the “Great Eagle” (Revelation 12:14) would be born in the city of “Philadelphia”(Revelation 3:7) led by a great faithful leader like “David”(Revelation 3:8) – George Washington.
In the eighteenth century, there were two great revolutions in the western world, the American Revolution and the French Revolution. They both had the similar goal of “Liberty, Equality and Fraternity” for the secular society, but they had opposite attitudes toward God. The American Revolution, or the Independence of America, was led by the faithful people of God who prayed to God for help in the hard time and gave thanks to God for His blessing after the victory. In contrast, the French Revolution was led by the people who denied God, destroyed churches and killed priests and nuns. In the end, the power of blessing and judgment of God determined the outcome of these two great revolutions with drastically different results.
After the American Revolution and the French Revolution, the United States gradually grew from the initial thirteen colonies into the super power in the world in less than two hundred years while France became a declining empire and eventually was totally defeated and occupied by Nazi Germany in World War II. That’s the difference between the nation who was blessed by God and the nation who turned against God. Nowadays, many Americans have lost their faith in God and repeated the same mistakes the French people made during the French Revolution, which ended in the “Reign of Terror” and financial crisis. Although France had a temporary success under the reign of Napoleon after the French Revolution, most adults who participated in the French Revolution died in the following Napoleonic wars and France was eventually defeated by the European allies. The once mighty French Empire fell from its glorious height to the low of total defeat in the Napoleonic Wars and World War II.
I hope that American people can learn the lesson from French people and do not repeat the same mistake French people made during the French Revolution as well as the mistakes those people in the Communist countries made during the Communist Revolution in the twentieth century. It’s the blessing of God and the promise of Christ that turned the United States of America from a small union of colonies into a Super Power in the world. If American people lose their faith in God, God will also take his blessing away from this nation and the United States will fall from the glorious height into a mediocre state.
Here, I also have a special warning for New York City. As the city of Nineveh is the largest city of the Assyrian Empire, New York City is the largest city of the United States of America. New York City also fits the characters of the “Great City of Babylon” in the Bible’s Book of Revelation. “Sept 11” was just a warning prophesied in Revelation 14:8, and the next disaster of the “Fall of Babylon” will be much bigger than “Sept. 11”. If World War III breaks out, New York City could be the first target of nuclear attack in the coming nuclear war.
Also, New York City could face destruction from within as the crime rate has increased greatly in the last decade due to the incompetence of local government and law enforcement. When criminals could get away from the crimes and harm to others, the innocent and law-abiding citizens would become the victims of crimes. That will become bad karma for the city and state, which could cause big disasters for New York City.
Therefore, as the Peace Messiah for the New Millennium, I’d like to perform the “Second Miracle of Jonah” and call for people to “give up their evil ways and their violence, and repent and pray to God for His compassion” like people of Nineveh did. Only through the repentance of people and the blessing of God can we avoid the catastrophic disasters and save the earth for greater civilization. Then the world will enter into the New Millennium of Peace & Wisdom.
This is the prophetic meaning of these three Great Solar Eclipses across the United States of America in the last seven years.
