In Chapter 14 of the Book of Revelation, there are 144,000 "who had
been redeemed from the earth" would "follow the Lamb wherever
he goes." (Revelation 14:3-4) These "144,000 redeemed
people" in Chapter 14 of the Book of Revelation were the same
"144,000 people" in Chapter 7 of the Book of Revelation.
1. The 144,000 Redeemed
Followers of Christ
The Chapter 7 of the Book of
Revelation prophesied the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century. And
those 144,000 people are the ones who had been redeemed by the Lamb and
received the seal of God on their foreheads. In Chapter 14 of the Book of
Revelation, they would follow the Christ/Messiah of the "Second
Coming" to manifest on the earth as regular people, just like Prophet
Elijah in the Old Testament manifested as John the Baptist in the New
Testament during the First Coming of Christ.
In Chapter 7 of the Book of
Revelation, they were selected from the twelve tribes of Israel, but in the
"Second Coming" of Messiah in Chapter 14 of the Book of Revelation,
they don't have to be Jews and Israelis. They just need to have strong faith
in God, or "have his name (Christ the Lamb's name) and his Father's name
written on their foreheads" (Revelation 14:1), and also have an open-mind
to learn the "New Song" (Revelation 14:3) and the New Revelation of
the "Eternal Gospel for every nation, tribe, language and people."
(Revelation 14:6)
2. The New Revelation of
the Eternal Gospel
Many Christians were taught that the
Revelation of God was ended almost two thousand years ago as it is stated that
no one can add anything to the Book of Revelation (Revelation 22:18) at the
end of the New Testament, but most Christians misunderstood this verse at the
end of the Bible. This verse is only referred to the prophecy in the Book of
Revelation that no one should add any prophecy to this book of prophecy. But
there would be New Revelation of God for every nation in the future according
to the prophecy in the Book of Revelation.
In Chapter 14 of the Book of
Revelation, there are three angels coming with the new message of God. The
first angel "had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and
people." He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of
water.” (Revelation 14:6-7)
In the last century, many
people lost their faith in God. Atheism and materialism became the mainstream
ideology in most developed countries. The main reason that caused the decline
of faith in God is lack of historical testimony in the New Testament of the
Bible.
As the Old Testament had been
compiled over a thousand years, there are many historical testimonies in the
Old Testament, like the Books of Samuel, the Books of Chronicles, and the
Books of Kings, etc. Although God had shown many miracles through prophets
like Moses and Elijah and shown great blessing of wisdom and wealth for
Solomon, those Israelis easily forgot all these miracles and blessings of God
and eventually fell astray from the Word of God and lost their faith in God.
Only after they were defeated by their enemies and lost their kingdom and
their temple of God did they begin to learn the lesson from history and come
back to God and never lost their faith again.
However, as the New Testament
was compiled only in a few hundred years, there was not sufficient historical
testimony for the New Testament. That's how people gradually lost their faith
in God, just as Jesus forewarned in his letter to the church in Laodicea,
"You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.'"
(Revelation 3:17) They need the historical testimony to understand the
existence of God and the power of God's judgment.
The good thing is that the
prophecies in the Book of Revelation have been fulfilled and decoded with the
testimony of the major historical events in the last two thousand years. It
provides great historical testimony for the New Testament so that people will
acknowledge that the word of God and the prophecy of God in the Bible are
real. From now on, this book, Revelation Fulfilled, will be the book of
Chronicle for the New Testament of the Bible. It will be part of the New
Revelation of the Eternal Gospel prophesied in the Book of Revelation.
